A

Hey, I am Aiman.

Welcome to my corner of the internet — no professionalism required.

I grew up in Katy, Texas — a town known for its high school football team and its position on the western outskirts of Houston. I spent the most formative years of my life there, causing havoc around town with friends and learning what it meant to grow up, mostly through the patience and sacrifices of my mother and grandfather. Those two shaped me into who I am today and I would not be here without them.

After high school I followed a dream and joined the U.S. Air Force as a 3D0X2 Cyber Systems Operator (later redesignated 1D7X1B). I shipped out right as COVID-19 hit and ended up being one of the graduates out of Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi — part of FLT 752, DET 5. Wild time to be starting a military career, but the mission does not stop for a pandemic.

My time in the Air Force led me to 9th Air Force / U.S. AFCENT where some incredible NCOs and contractors took me under their wing. Their mentorship pushed my skills far beyond where my peers were and ultimately opened the door to my next chapter at U.S. CENTCOM, where I served as an F5 Engineer working on critical applications for the most active Combatant Command in the DoD.

After CENTCOM I made a few big moves — started my own company, Olympian Systems LLC, to build something of my own and create more flexibility to be there for my grandfather, who was diagnosed with Alzheimers back in 2020. In December I joined the U.S. SOCOM team as a Systems Architect for their SOF Integration Facility — and that is where I am now.

This blog is where I share what I am working on, what is on my mind, and whatever else I feel like talking about. Tech, life, the homelab, random thoughts — all fair game. Come back whenever, the hangout is always open.
