Introducing Myself

As you probably guessed my name is Aiman and welcome to my blog where you can "hangout" and see what I'm up to, what's on my mind & check out the projects I'm working on in my lab. Please don't come to this blog expecting professionalism becuase you won't get it here. This is my place to vibe out & if you don't like then too bad. :)

So where do I even begin lol... I guess I can start with where I grew up and go from there.

I grew up in Katy, Texas, a town renowned for its high school football team, the Katy Tigers, which hail from (you guessed it) Katy High School. Katy is just a smaller town (or was at one point, lol) on the western outskirts of Houston, Texas. I pretty much spent the most formative & important years of my youth there, and had so many adventures, many of which involved getting into trouble and causing havoc around town with my friends.

Beyond the crazy adventures with childhood friends, I lived with my mother, a single mother who was trying to raise me with the help of my grandfather. My mother and grandfather shaped me into the man I am today through the countless sacrifices they made. I'm lucky to have been blessed with a mom who never gave up on me as a kid and with a grandfather who stepped up and showed me how to grow into a good man. There were many times my mom and grandfather wanted to wring my neck for being an asshat, and rightfully so, but instead they taught me how to be better and learn from my mistakes.

Love you mom & pa ❤️

Once I got closer to graduating high school, I started talking to military recruiters so I could follow a dream of mine, serve my country. Initially, my goal was to become a U.S. Army Ranger, a part of the 75th Ranger Regiment, but God had a different path for me. The U.S. Air Force ended up being the branch of service I joined up with as a 3D0X2 Cyber Systems Operator (later became 1D7X1B). As I was getting ready to leave for basic training, history was being made as COVID-19 took the world by storm, triggering a massive pandemic. A majority of the states within the U.S. went on lockdown and restricted people from public gatherings, and as a result, many small mom and pop shops went out of business due to the lockdowns. The USAF even made a historic move by opening up a secondary training facility in Biloxi, Mississippi, to split the load of trainees headed to Lackland AFB in San Antonio. I am one of those graduates of USAF basic training out of Keesler AFB. I was a part of FLT 752, DET 5. It was a crazy time, but the military did not stop moving. We still needed to prepare & train recruits to ensure we were always ready for war if the nation needed us.

However, that lead me to 9th Air Force/U.S. AFCENT (Air Forces Central Command) where I hit the ground running, trying to learn as much as I could from my seniors & contractors. I got lucky again when a very select few NCOs and most importantly contractors took me under their wing and mentored me. Through their mentorship, my skills reached a level that set me far apart from my peers and later became the deciding factor in my getting hired at U.S. CENTCOM once I transitioned from the USAF.

I joined the U.S. CENTCOM team in August of 2024 and started my journey as a veteran navigating life after service. At CENTCOM, I served as an F5 Engineer and worked on many critical applications and projects that helped move the most active COCOM (Combatant Command) in the DoD forward in its objectives. After some time there, I left the command to start my own business and be more available to take care of my grandfather, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's back in 2020. My company, Olympian Systems LLC, still exists to this day and provides me with an opportunity for future growth and freedom to build a legacy. In December, I joined the U.S. SOCOM team to begin working as a Systems Architect for their prestigious SOF Integration Facility (SIF) team, and that's where I am now.

I know this has been a really long initial welcome blog, but I felt it necessary to really give some insight into my life & background. If you've made it this far lol then I thank you for taking the time to take a little trip through a short story of my life. ❤️
